TV is Awesome Podcast Discussion: The Leftovers Series Finale aka Book of Nora aka Furious Biking

WE DID IT!! We reached the finale of The Leftovers and we are so proud ourselves! Our little baby podcast, just a shimmer in our eyes a year ago, and our vision of reviewing The Leftovers is complete! And we are loving every minute and looking forward to moving on with a new series and some additional bonus episodes soon!

As for this episode, it is everything we remembered and more! So. Much. Happens. Listen here as we discuss future Nora, future Kevin, future Lori, birds, goats, weddings, catching up on where Matt, Tommy, Jill and Kevin Sr. are, also furious biking, lying nuns, totally naked Nora and one hell of a story... do we believe her? Does it matter?

Probably one of the best finales of all time!

TV is Awesome Podcast Discussion: We Love Mare of Easttown!

Here's the understatement of all understatements: we LOVE great TV. And guess what, Mare of Easttown is GREAT TV!!  Listen as we discuss all the great things: the acting, the characters, the plot, our friend Kate, Jean Smart, Peter Evans, how accents work, the slow reveals of backstory and then the ENDING. *shocked face emoji* The ending that was so crazy that one of the hosts still didn't understand what was happening EVEN WHILE A CONFESSION WAS HAPPENING!

Good stuff, Mare!

TV is Awesome Podcast Discussion: The Leftovers S3E6 Certified... Certifiable?

Alternate Title: Dogs & Babies & Family & Pills!

We start with 1-800 Suicide, and end with a...suicide? Unclear! But the show certainly leads you to think it. So in this episode we discuss topics such as, is everyone crazy? crazier than Laurie? Is Laurie the stable one in this world right now? We are dis-com-fucking-bobulated! We consider if we've been wrong about Laurie all this time... but then Publisher-Office Laurie shows up to get her lighter back and we know what's up. Somehow Laurie is the one everyone is leaning on in this episode... Nora, Michael, John, Kevin and to some extent Kevin Sr. We also discuss if anyone in the writer's room has ever been to a baseball game. As Laurie says, these are crazy times.

Laurie is the most less-crazy in this world, we guess

TV is Awesome Podcast Discussion: The Leftovers S3E5 It's a Matt, Matt, Matt, Matt World

Well, I mean... if you're into sex boats, lions, dead people - real dead, car wash dead and back from the dead dead - Ipods, French submarines, and possibly PETA, then this is the episode for you!

And if that sentence didn't grab you, then maybe this will:  listen here as Ken & Lisa discuss the yoga workouts needed to prepare for solo nuclear launching, we miss Ipods, the various pronunciations of Laurie's name, Laurie being Laurie and also maybe making sense, dirty jokes, sex boats, end of the world celebrations, is David Burton God, the lore of Frasier the Lion and did we watch a lion eat God?

TV is Awesome Podcast Discussion: The Leftovers S3E4 G'Day Melbourne

This episode could also have been called "Lori, You're Trash," "Sex in the Baby Bathroom" or also just "UUUUUUUGGHHHHH."

While still being amazing TV, this episode just BUMS US OUT. Lots of foreshadowing, starting with This Love is Over by Ray Lamontagne in intro, then Nora and Kevin literally in different lanes, joking conversation about their toxic relationship. All leading up to the breakup of the century while a literal bomb is going off in the world.

Discussion topics include the ever-important Book of Kevin, pancakes, buses, babies all over the place, Nora in a Box (t-shirt coming soon), Evie sighting! Plus what is this show telling us!? Is Kevin having a mental break in Australia or is something else happening? Why show us Evie at all? And then the most devastating breakup and pretty photography end-scene ever. And guess what... NO EMMYS FOR ANY OF THIS! (drink!)

TV is Awesome Podcast BONUS EPISODE: Reply All and The Vanishing at The Cecil Hotel

To sum up both topics: *sad face emoji* and *shocked face emoji*

And really what else is there to say? Well, plenty as it turns out. I mean, did anyone think we wouldn't talk a LOT about these things?

Our overall disappointment with what's happening in Reply All Land and our overall fascination with the Elisa Lam story are fully discussed in the first of what we hope is many Bonus Episodes.

That elevator video!
